WORDS YOU WILL NOT HEAR FROM HILLARY CLINTON

Excerpted from article in today’s New York Daily News:

At least six electors — members of the Electoral College whose votes actually elect the President — have vowed to cast ballots that don’t align with the popular vote results of their states, Politico reported Tuesday.

If they carry out their intentions — in effect, becoming “faithless electors” — they would narrow Donald Trump’s margin-of-victory in the Electoral College over Hillary Clinton.

One elector, Michael Baca said in a statement that he wouldn’t vote for Trump.

Some electors told Politico that they were attempting to persuade some of their Republican colleagues in the body to vote for someone other than Trump, but they would need at least 15 additional electors (and likely many more) to sway the race.

Lovely.

Now, here are the words you will not hear from Hillary Clinton:

“While I am gratified, and most appreciative, of the efforts being advanced to change the electoral result of the just-completed presidential campaign, I must in good conscience, ask that they immediately be ended.  The people have spoken, the election is over, and I do not – I cannot – accept a rejection of their decision.  If that highly unlikely reversal should occur, I will immediately decline the office of President.  I obviously wish things had turned out differently.  But they did not, and I could never be a part of overturning the will of the people.”

To say that would show honesty, class and respect for the people who elected Donald Trump as our next President.

Therefore, Hillary Clinton will never utter those words.
