Let me start by apologizing to anyone who is now cleaning a spontaneous spew of food or drink off the computer monitor after reading the title of this blog.
But please don’t blame me. I am just quoting one of the convention speakers, Sarah Silverman – a “comedian” who seems to equate ridiculous and profanity-laced with funny…and, dispiritingly, has managed to find enough likeminded people to make a career of it.
Over the past week, we have heard Democrat after Democrat claim that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate for President in this country’s history – a claim so ludicrous that if there were a Hall of Fame for ludicrous claims it would occupy its own wing.
But, not to be outdone by her fellow Clintonistas, Ms. Silverman decided to escalate that ludicrous claim to an even higher level.
Allow me to remind you that Hillary Clinton has one of the most astonishingly consistent records of lack of accomplishment in recent political history.
-While First Lady, her health care initiative was so terrible that even Democrats would not vote for it.
-As a senator from New York, in eight years she sponsored and saw through to passage a total of three laws: a bill that named a historic site, a bill to name a post office and a bill to name a stretch of highway after Tim Russert. Wow.
-As Secretary of State she was wrong so many times that she might have set an all-time record, with her greatest “accomplishment” being the Benghazi massacre and her overt lies about it to the familes of the dead.
-Oh, and while a young lawyer on the Watergate committee, she was refused a reference by its chief counsel, a Democrat, on the grounds that her work was shoddy and dishonest.
Those are QUALIFICATIONS?
For WHAT? A seat on the Chappaqua poop removal committee?
It is a sad testament to the disdain Democrats have for their voting base that any claim could be made about the qualifications of Hillary Clinton. And an even sadder commentary on the voters that claim impresses.
They’re probably the same people who think Sarah Silverman is a laff riot.
