In a previous blog (two of them, actually) I have written that Tim Kaine is about as good a VP pick as Hillary Clinton could make, and listed out the reasons why.
Here’s one of the negatives; a huge one: Tim Kaine’s position on Israel – which, I must admit, I was unaware of until now but am appalled by.
Excerpted from Joel Pollak’s illuminating, and troubling, piece at breitbart.com:
Democrats are touting Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Hillary Clinton’s new running mate, as a pro-Israel voice in Congress.
Yet Kaine joined anti-Israel radicals in Congress in boycotting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech in March 2015 — the last plea of a beleaguered nation.
Bloomberg News at the time predicted that Kaine’s decision to boycott the speech “could resonate for years,” describing it as a sop to the party’s left-wing base.
Notably, Kaine is supported by J Street, the George Soros-funded radical left-wing organization widely regarded as anti-Israel for its opposition to every attempt by Israel to defend itself against terror.
When Israel needed to be defended from an Iran deal that the Obama administration had no intent of enforcing, and that the ayatollahs had no intent of keeping, Tim Kaine joined a walkout, putting politics above principle and sound foreign policy.
Like Hillary Clinton — who was the Secretary of State when negotiations with extremist Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad began, and who supported the Iran deal to the hilt — Kaine was ultimately unwilling to heed the concerns of Israelis across the spectrum from left to right.
Kaine even joined the Democrats’ filibuster to prevent the Senate from voting on the Iran deal at all. He co-authored the so-called “Corker bill,” then refused to allow the Congress exercise the barest oversight.
Does that look like a supporter of Israel to you?
Tim Kaine, it turns out, is another project for the “Lost Tribe” (my description of the Jews, and non-Jews, who support Israel but remain so completely compromised by their unconditional loyalty to the Democrat Party that they can find a way to rationalize any action, no matter how anti-Israel, by one of its members).
I wonder how many will finally wake up; how many will finally realize that a Clinton/Kaine administration will be four, may be eight, more years of the USA giving the back of its hand to Israel, as it has under Barack Obama.
Oh, wait: these same head-in-the-sand folks have spent eight years pretending Mr. Obama was OK for Israel, haven’t they? I guess I already have my answer.

Finally a reason to vote for Hillary
so goes the world. Where do these politicians come from. Are they not American citizens first and democrats second. We/Us we (Republicans) are the “enemy”. All I see are elected officials running around the country making speeches for monies for political fundraisers. Why are they not in Washington running the country. Who is watching the store. Every background on all elected officials should be vetted. Why after they are in power do we have to find out their un-American values.
