The latest polls show Hillary Clinton neck and neck with Donald Trump or flat-out losing to him.
That, of course, is bad news for Ms. Clinton. But if that were the extent of the problem she could hope Democrat voter turnout can make up the gap
That, however, is not the extent of the problem.
Why? Because the latest primaries show Hillary Clinton losing ground in her own party…which is even worse, because it is Democrat turnout.
Look at this chart, put together by Investors Business Daily using data compiled by realclearpolitics.com, and see for yourself:
Look at that difference. It is actually startling.
Bernie Sanders, a political nonentity outside of Vermont who wasn’t even a Democrat until he decided to make this run, is now averaging about 10% more votes than Hillary Clinton.
So we see that it is not just that Hillary Clinton has a problem with non-Democrat voters. It is that she has a problem Democrat voters as well – i.e. the folks who are supposed to fawn over her like so many in the media do.
There are now threats that the Democrat convention in Philadelphia is going to be a wild west show; a zoo; 1968 revisited. And there is a very real, very well-founded fear that Bernie Sanders’ people, outraged by a system that declares Clinton a “winner” even though, increasingly, Democrat voters declare her a loser, will wage a war there.
Is this really possible? You bet it is.
And who is going to calm things down? DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz – who the Sanders people consider (with strong justification) to be the pro-Hillary hack who created this situation in the first place?
Not likely.
Republicans are busy making peace, if a tenuous, uncomfortable one, with Donald Trump’s apparent candidacy – while Democrats are making war over Hillary Clinton’s.
Where will this go? What will happen next?
I truly have no idea. Let’s watch and see. Because I doubt that it will be to a good place. Not any time soon.
Also this is the perfect illustration of how corrupt the msm are. We saw report after report about this happening in the Republican party but now crickets chirping that it is happening to the Democrat party.
