WHY CHELSEA SHOULD STAY HOME

Ken Berwitz

I have nothing against Chelsea Clinton.  I hope she is a nice person and a good wife and mother.

But if the Clinton people think Chelsea is doing anything positive for her mom,  they better re-calibrate.

From Emily Zanotti\’s piece at americanthinker.com (which has the video):

The Clinton campaign has been using Chelsea as a surrogatesince the final few weeks in Iowa, even though the response to her has beenlukewarm at best. They\’ve now flown her to New Hampshire and elsewhere, whereshe\’s taking rallies to promote her mother as “Grandma-in-Chief.”

Only, yesterday\’s speech went a little awry. While at acampaign stop in Minnesota (a must-win for the Clinton camp), Chelsea made aFreudian slip, referring to “Bernie Sanders” as “PresidentSanders.”

Well, look at the bright side.  At least she didn\’t refer to Bernie Sanders as “Colonel”.  That would have fried the campaign altogether.

“Grandma in chief”?  Are you kidding me?  That\’s supposed to boom up the candidacy of someone who is losing the freshness issue to a 74 year old opponent?

Things are unraveling fast in Clintonland.   And, as should be more than clear, sending Chelsea out on the stump is not tying them back together.

What are we going to see next?  James Carville and Lanny Davis doing a standup act?
