abdul el-sayed – actually, abdulrahman – is the Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michian.
He is also a liar, who claims no connection to the terrorist muslim brotherhood, but who, along with his family, have had ties to that organization for years and years.
Josh Hammer, writing for the New York Post, starts his latest commentary this way:
On Sunday’s edition of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Kristen Welker asked Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed if he would “set the record straight” on his alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.
“No,” El-Sayed quickly replied, saying that neither he nor his family have any ties to the international Sunni Islamist network.
El-Sayed is lying.
What is Hammer talking about?
For that we go to V. Saxena’s article at westernjournal.com.
Here is how it begins:
Democratic Michigan Senate nominee Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed was visibility stunned and lashed out harshly when a reporter for NBC News, a liberal media outlet, sought to hold him accountable for his clear-cut lies.
During a recent “Meet the Press” appearance, El-Sayed vehemently denied that his family has any ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. A plethora of evidence has since emerged which certainly appears to prove otherwise.
Speaking with the Michigan Democrat Wednesday, an NBC News reporter unveiled this new evidence and then demanded that El-Sayed explain himself, saying, “Can you just explain it?”
Instead of explaining, the unrepentant Islamist quickly grew indignant.
“It’s funny to me,” El-Sayed began. “I was born in 1984, down the street in Rochester Hills. I was raised here in Michigan. Went to the University of Michigan. Rebuilt the health department in the city. Led the health department in this county.”
“And you want to ask me about what was happening in Egypt in 1970?” he continued, visibly and audibly becoming angrier. “Are you serious?”
“I get it,” the NBC News reporter replied. “But you were asked a question.”
“Like, I have no ties,” El-Sayed responded, doubling down. “We have no ties.”
Posts published to social media by his half-sister, University of Chicago assistant professor Eman Abdelhadi, strongly suggest otherwise. “My family has long been MB,” she proclaimed in a 2012 post.
Aware of these posts, the NBC News reporter continued grilling El-Sayed.
If you want to read more abut the “grilling” – which, in fact, was nothing more than a reporter expecting el-sayed to answer basic questions about the overt discrepencies between what he was saying and the facts she had at hand, you’ve got the link. Do yourself a favor and use it.
Will this take el-sayed down in his senate race? Will it cause a Democrat or two – maybe among Jewish Democrats – to demand answers to the same questions? That remains to be seen.
But if you’ve read this blog and used the links, you know the answers. Let’s hope as may Michigan voters have become as knowledgeable about his lies as you now are.
