Let me start by referencing two press releases.
One is from James Harrington’s article for political.org, which begins with this:
Investigation Claims California Lost Up to $280 Billion to Fraud in State Welfare Programs Under Newsom Administration
A new investigation alleges that California may have lost between $180 billion and $280 billion to fraudulent claims in state-administered welfare programs during Governor Gavin Newsom’s tenure. The claims center on alleged widespread fraud in Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program, and other social safety net programs.
The scale of the alleged fraud would represent one of the largest instances of government program abuse in U.S. history. Medi-Cal, California’s implementation of the federal Medicaid program, has expanded significantly in recent years, now covering nearly 40% of the state’s population. The program’s rapid growth, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when eligibility requirements were loosened and verification processes streamlined, created what investigators describe as unprecedented opportunities for fraudulent claims. Federal oversight agencies have previously identified California as having among the highest improper payment rates in the nation for Medicaid programs, with estimates ranging from 15-25% of total expenditures.
Another is from a press release issued by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Here is how it begins:
Brooklyn Adult Daycare Owner Sentenced to 76 Months in Prison for Leadership Role in $68 Million Medicaid Fraud Scheme
BROOKLYN, NY – Earlier today, in federal court in Brooklyn, Zakia Khan was sentenced by United States District Judge Natasha C. Merle to 76 months in prison in connection with her leadership role in carrying out a $64 million Medicaid fraud and illegal kickback scheme at her two social adult daycare centers and a home health care company. In August 2025, Khan pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States and pay health care kickbacks. As part of her sentence, Khan was also ordered to pay over $56 million in restitution and to forfeit $5 million in fraud proceeds, including two properties, cash, and gold jewelry seized during a search of her home, as pictured below.

The reason I show you the above – a very partial list, I assure you – is not just to show that the Trump administration has been going all-out to end the beyond-belief massive amount of social services fraud, which has been taking place for years and hugely expanded under the previous administration.
I also show them because, since what reporting has been done on this insane scandal – way too little, if you ask me – has mostly concentrated on the state of Minnesota, you might be unaware that the fraud is not taking place just in that one state, but throughout the country.
In less than two years of his current term as President, Donald Trump has racked up some major accomplishments. Here is a partial list:
-He has reinstituted serious borders in this country/deporting a great many illegals (despite efforts by Democrats to prevent this from taking place).
-He has gotten NATO countries to finally start paying their share.
-His tariff policy is bringing in many trillions of dollars in domestic manufacturing (the benefit of which will start accruing big-time in a couple of years, when the factories are built and operational….which, of course, gives Democrats and their mainstream media allies the opportunity to pretend it doesn’t exist at all).
-He has de- nuclearized Iran – which is incalculably huge, given the fact that its leaders, who have no problem killing their own people by the tens of thousands, would obviously have no problem using a nuclear weapon on one or both of their two great satans: Israel and the United States.
-He has turned countries like Venezuela and Columbia from enemies to at least circumstantial allies/trading partners. This has been especially beneficial to Venezuela, which had degenerated from prosperous country to a horrific hellhole with millions escaping any way they could, which has enormously improved quality of life for both countries – especially Venezuela
But in considering the above accomplishments, we should not lose sight of his efforts to uncover and eliminate the incredible amount of fraud that has taken place, and continues to take place, regarding our social services…which is every bit as much of a major accomplishment in its own right.
This not only has siphoned off untold billions of dollars to the fraudsters who have been stealing it for years – without a worry in the world that they would be caught/held to account until now. It has also taken that money from people who really need the help it was intended to provide.
Again, you won’t be reading a great deal about how much fraud has been uncovered and how it hurts the people who would have benefited from it if the money were spent legitimately. Most of our media find it much more salient to write about Trump’s (admittedly uber-obnoxious) self-image, what color his hair is on any given day and that he was friends with Jeffrey Epstein decades ago.
But I just thought you ought to know.
