Today’s quote comes to us from the Mayor of Chicago, brandon johnson.
On March 19th, Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old freshman at Loyola University Chicago was with friends, walking to the peir at Tobey Prinz Beach to take pictures of the skyline and Northern Lights. She walked ahead of her friends and found herself in the presence of a masked gunman, who shot and killed her.
The “man” accused of killing her is an illegal alien named jose medina. According to an article at the Chicago Sun-Times…
In an unusual move, Medina’s attorney asked Judge D’Anthony Thedford to hold Medina in the jail out of fear that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement would act on a detainer issued after the shooting.
“We fear if he’s released, ICE will detain him and release him to a third country,” said Medina’s attorney, Cook County Assistant Public Defender Julie Koehler.
Thedford ordered Medina detained, as Cook County prosecutors had also requested.
During the hearing, Koehler disclosed that Medina has a developmental disability stemming from an earlier gunshot wound he suffered to his head during a robbery in Colombia. Medina had made his way to Colombia after fleeing violence in Venezuela, Koehler said.
Medina had to relearn how to walk and talk, and has an indentation on the top of his head. He can’t read or write, Koehler said.
Medina wound up in Chicago in 2023 after reaching the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas and being detained there, Koehler said. Although he requested to be deported back to Colombia, officials in Texas bussed him to Chicago.
Police recovered black clothing and a .40 caliber handgun inside Medina’s apartment, prosecutors said. The gun matched the shell casing found at the shooting scene.

No, he was at a “No Kings” rally, making a speech. And this is part of what he said:
“We have [to] end the assaults against immigrants. We have to get active. First of all, we have to make sure that we’re participating in our democratic process. We’ve already seen election shift around this country, so things are happening. We have signed multiple executive orders to force ICE out of the city of Chicago.”

As they buried Sheridan Gorman, brandon johnson was demanding protection for illegal aliens…like the one who killed her.
I award brandon johnson Quote Of The Day “honors” for reminding the voters of Chicago what the eff they voted for.
And if he runs for re-election? Given what Chicago has degenerated into, and given who the voters of Chicago keep putting in office, I wouldn’t bet against a second term.
