ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ DEFINES GENOCIDE

For the past year, a large number of what passes for our mainstream media have been talking about Alexandrea Ocasio-Cortez – even touting her – as a possible Democrat presidential candidate.

Never mind that she has absolutely no executive experience of any kind and no political experience except winning congressional elections in a safer-than-safe New York Democrat district.  To much of our media, she is a viable alternative to be the Commander In Chief of our armed forces, run foreign policy, etc.

Assuming you have stopped laughing (or crying, or just gnashing your teeth – all are reasonable reactions to the prospect of an Ocasio-Cortez presidency), I thought you might be interested in one of her most recent quotes.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, for some reason, is abroad – participating in a town hall event in Munich, Germany.  And in Munich, of all places, given that it is where hitler accelerated his rise to power – she said this about providing aid to Israel:

“To me, this isn’t just about a presidential election. Personally, I think that the United States has an obligation to uphold its own laws.  Particularly the Leahy laws*. And I think that, personally, that the, the  idea of completely unconditional aid, no matter what one does, does not make sense. I think it enabled a genocide in Gaza. And I think that, uh, we have thousands of women and children dead that don’t, that was completely avoidable.”

And, so I believe that enforcement of our own laws, ehh,  through the Leahy laws, which requires conditioning aid in any circumstance, uh, when you see gross human rights violations, is appropriate.”

Got that?  Ocasio-Cortez goes to the place that was instrumental in empowering adolf hitler, to accuse Israel of genocide in Gaza.

The fact that Israel’s actions against Gaza occurred after Gaza attacked Israel, killed 1,200 – 1,400 people (mostly civilians), performed atrocities on many of them before killing them (including babies), took 251 hostages, and joyously told the world they intended to do it “again and again”?  Irrelevant to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  No mention at all of that overt act of genocide.

The fact that, since Gaza, instead of spending its aid money on infrastructure, has, for years, spent it on arming its people to kill Israeli Jews, and on building military-related tunnels under hospitals and schools – thus making it impossible to take out its military without at least some collateral damage?  That is irrelevant too…

…as is the fact that, when hitting places at/near civilian populations, Israel literally warned Gazans (thus, its military forces) before the attacks took place, via calls and dropping of leaflets – something that no other military I am aware of in history ever did.

Nope, none of that is of any meaning to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  This was Israel, therefore it was genocide.

And this is who media are pretending is a serious presidential candidate???????????

That should tell you plenty about both Ocasio-Cortez, and our mainstream media.

*The so-called “Leahy Laws” -named for Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) who introduced them in 1997 – refer to two statutory provisions prohibiting the U.S. Government from using funds for assistance to units of foreign security forces where there is credible information implicating that unit in the commission of gross violations of human rights. )
