The shooting and killing of an anti-ICE insurrectionist in Minneapolis:
How many blockades did there have to be…
…how many screamers and whistle-blowers did there have to be…
…how many rocks and bottles have to be thrown…
…how many fires have to be started…
…and how many cars have to ram ICE equipment – including ICE vehicles…
…before an ICE agent – out of immediate danger or just plain fear – fires a weapon at one of them?
I have watched the videos. And from what I have seen – though I have not seen a completely definitive angle to know for sure – it does not appear that the woman who was blocking ICE, and then, when told to get out of the car, accelerated forward with agents around the car, was intentionally trying to hit one of them.
But I am not sure of that yet. But I certainly can see why one or more of the agents might have thought that was happening. And given the actions against ICE agents described above, I certainly can see why the agent might have shot due to fear of what the driver was doing and/or going to do.
The bottom line? It was just a matter of time.
Now watch Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor tim walz use this relentlessly, for their own political reasons/to make their left wing base happy (both have already started to do so). walz has even threatened to call out the National Guard. For what? To attack ICE agents? What does this imbecile think would happen then?
Would you be surprised if there is more violence? Immediately? Like tonight? I wouldn’t.
That’s just a matter of time as well.
