Today’s quote comes to us from Brian Schatz, a United States Senator who represents the state of Hawaii.
This, so help me, is his reaction, as posted on twitter/X, to the fact that – no surprise here – tyler robinson, the apparent murderer of Charlie Kirk, was a leftist:
“What fucking difference does it make if this murderer was left or right. Pull yourself together, read a book, get some exercise, have a whiskey or walk the dog or make some pasta or go fishing or just do anything other than let this algo pickle your brain and ruin your soul.”
Forgetting for a moment the crassness of how he said it, do you think for one minute that Schatz, who is solidly leftward, would be telling you the same thing if this were a right winger killing a popular liberal icon? We both know better. Do you think he would be ignoring the countless whoops of joy/celebrations by other leftists online over Kirk’s death…as there were over the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson by leftist luigi mangione?
And then there is the profanity – which Democrats on the left seem to have latched onto and use more and more frequently over the last year. Is it really necessary?
I award Brian Schatz Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us that his answer to left wing hatred and violence is that, somehow, it doesn’t count. Not if it’s someone on his side.
