With all the loud, often ridiculous nastiness coming from Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker about a possible deployment of the National Guard to Chicago, I thought you might be interested in knowing who is most affected by the awful murder rate in that city, and who is most responsible for it.
Here are the latest data:

As you can see, the victims of murder are almost entirely Black and Hispanic. And the assailants (keeping in mind that assailant numbers are much lower because a great many murders go unsolved and those that are solved have to go through a trial) are almost entirely Black and Hispanic as well.
So if the National Guard is deployed to Chicago and the murder rate goes down…the primary beneficiaries, far and away, will be Black and Hispanic.
That’s a little something Johnson and Pritzker never seem to talk about…but a little something to think about when you hear them mouth off.
