Today’s quote comes to us from Rep. delia ramirez (D-IL), who, among other responsibilities, is a member of the House Homeland Security Committee.
Last weekend, she – and a number of other hard-left Democrat officeholders, including Reps. ilhan omar, rashida tlaib, ayanna presley, and other equally hard-leftist Democrats – attended the second “Panamerican Conference” in Mexico.
As pointed out in Ingrid Jacques’ article for USA TODAY:
The event was organized in part by the leader of Progressive International, a “radical left-wing group,” according to Fox News.
At the Progressive International’s inaugural summit in 2020, its leaders declared that “capitalism is the virus“: “We aspire to eradicate capitalism everywhere. We believe that exploitation, dispossession, and environmental destruction are written into the genetic code of capitalism. We do not support efforts to save this system, nor enable its expansion to all corners of the earth.”
And in case that wasn’t bad enough, here is what Rep. ramirez proudly told this anti-US, anti-capitalist horde:
“I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American.”
This is a member of the House of Representatives??? A member of the Homeland Security Committee???
I award delia ramirez Quote Of The Day (dis)honors for telling us just who and what she is…with absolutely no problem voiced, so far, by the leadership of her own party.
If this is the way she feels, ramirez – who, it should be noted was born and raised in Chicago, not Guatemala – should resign from congress and go straight back to her ancestral home. I’m sure the freedoms and opportunities she will experience there will far exceed those she has found in the USA.
The sooner this sack of manure leaves, the better.
