The progress on a China trade deal is not the only major news from the White House today.
President Trump has also told us he is signing an executive order which, assuming it is legal and enforceable (I have my doubts) will require pharmaceutical companies to sell their products at dramatically lower prices in the United States, thus lowering domestic prices by 30% to 80% or more.
All the major financial markets are way up (as I type this, less than ten minutes from closing, the Dow is up about 1,100 points).
And the last living American hostage in Gaza, Edan Alexander, has been freed and is back in Israel – in no small part due to Trump’s support of Israel and pressure on hamas’s benefactor, Iran.
The China trade deal, the executive order on pharmaceuticals, the Dow, Edan Alexander…
…would probably cause you to assume major media would be calling this an excellent-to-spectacular day for President Donald Trump.
We’ll see….
