A DEMOCRAT PUBLICITY BONANZA….FOR TRUMP

I don’t know if Donald Trump enjoys imagining political best-case scenarios.

But if he does, this is sure to give him enormous pleasure.

From Jonathan Turley’s latest commentary, we have this:

Calling it “one on a huge list of priorities,” Rep. Jamie Raskin (D., Md.) announced that he will be reintroducing a prior bill with Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Eric Swalwell to disqualify not just Trump but a large number of Republicans from taking office.

The alternative, it appears, is unthinkable: allowing the public to choose their next president and representatives in Congress. It appears that the last thing Democrats want is for the unanimous decision to actually lead to an outbreak of democracy. Where the Court expressly warned of “chaos” in elections, Raskin and others appear eager to be agents of chaos in Congress.

Soon after the decision, Raskin went on the air at CNN to assure people that he and his colleagues would not stand by and allow the right to vote be restored to citizens in the upcoming election. He pledged to offer a prior bill that would declare Jan. 6 an “insurrection” and that those involved “engaged in insurrection.”

If there were a contest to find the 10 least attractive/most obnoxious/most likely to turn off the greatest number of voters among Democrat congresspeople, these three would almost certainly be among them.  Probably in the top 5.

And these three are going to be the faces of a Democrat effort to prevent voters from selecting the Republican presidential nominee if it is Donald Trump – and to prevent them from voting for a bunch of other Republicans as well???

If I were Trump, or any other Republican candidate, or any Republican strategist/operative, I would make sure that their faces – complete with the smirks that are a characteristic of all three, their tones of voice and their angry, anti-democratic “we want to win by preventing voters from being able to vote for the other guys” message – is out there early and often, with the Republican message being:

-“This is how the other side operates.  This is today’s Democrat Party – not Democratic party, because there’s nothing democratic about what they are doing.

-“Winning elections” by removing the opposition?  What country do they think they are living in?”  Is it the country you want to live in?

I can’t think of a better opportunity for Trump and the overall Republican Party.
