Guess what? As type this, police are clearing out the so-called “CHOP” area of Seattle – the blocks that Antifa anarchists, Black Lives Matter radicals/extortionists and assorted street thugs had expropriated from the city for over three weeks.
Was this being done because these people had no right to take over one square inch of Seattle, let alone 6 blocks of it?
Was it being done because they held the residents and businesses hostage to their whims for all this time?
Was it being done because they defaced just about every building and street?
Was it being done because there were armed thugs in the area illegally brandishing weapons?
Was it being done because there were at least two dead that we know about and others injured by gun violence?
Nope, it couldn’t have been those things. We know this because no move was made to get rid of the anarchists/radicals/thugs even after they all happened.
But:
Was it being done because, on Sunday afternoon, some of this bunch marched on Mayor jenny durkan’s home????????
That’s a very fair question. Because, immediately afterwards, durkan didn’t just talk about getting them removed, but plans were made, finalized, and the removal started just two days later.
Would it be fair, therefore, to consider the possibility – make that the probability – that the “CHOP” takeover was just fine and dandy with jenny durkan….until it affected her personally? A “Not In My Back Yard” (NIMBY) reaction?
You be the judge.
Now let’s see if it is really, finally cleared out, what devastation was visited upon the area durkan allowed it to fester in for almost a month, how many stores were looted/vandalized/damaged, how extensive the destruction to public property was….
….and how many lawsuits will be filed against this idiot Mayor/and her city/how big they will be.
