MEDIA BIAS? NAAAAHHHH

The latest CNN/ORC poll was released today – the last one before midterm elections.

It shows that the Obama administration\’s claims of a surging economy – its single greatest selling point for this election – is being seen for the absolute load of BS it is – especially by independents; the voters who tend to move elections one way or the other.  And that Republicans are significantly more enthusiastic about voting this year than Democrats are.

A few excerpts from Eric Bradner\’s article:

Just38% of Americans believe the economy is in good shape, aCNN/ORC International poll of 1,018 adults, conducted Oct. 24-26,found. That\’s down from 42% in September — and it could hurtDemocrats\’ chances of holding onto the Senate in the Nov. 4 midtermelections.

Wednesday\’ssurvey found that 62% rated economic conditions as “somewhatpoor” or “very poor”.

Thepoll found that urban Americans have a rosier view of the economy, with 43% saying it\’s in good shape compared to 39% of those surveyedin suburban areas and 31% in rural areas.

Thebigger difference, though, is between the 55% of Democrats who saythe economy is performing well and the 28% of Republicans who agree.Just 32% of independent voters say the economy is in good shape.

Theeconomy isn\’t the only measure of the country\’s mood ahead of nextweek\’s elections. A CNN/ORC International poll released Tuesday foundthat 68% of Americans say they\’re angry about the way things aregoing in the United States.

Italso showed that 36% of Republicans are enthusiastic about votingthis year, while just 26% of Democrats say they are. That differencecould be key in some House districts, and with control of the Senateon the line.

That is one bombshell of a poll, with huge implications for next Tuesday\’s vote.

So it\’s the lead story at CNN.com, right?

Nope.

Ok, so it\’s one of the lead stories, right?

Nope.

Huh?  So where is it?

It\’s in CNN\’s “The Latest” list.

The first article, right?

Nope.

Holy excrement.  Where did they put it?

It\’s buried as the number five article in the list.  Just below an article about a guy who went to the Denver Bronco\’s game and didn\’t come home, but turns out to be safe and sound.

Is that really more important than this poll?

Well, the poll is disastrous for Democrats and wonderful for Republicans.  Got it?

Yep, I got it.

Media bias?  Naaaahhhh

=======================================

UPDATE:  It is now 3:40PM, and CNN\’s web site has moved the story about this poll.  It is no longer in “The Latest” news list.  It is below “The Latest”, and below “Opinion”, and now has been buried as the second item in “More Top Stories” (which is the equivalent of “And In Other News….).

CNN is shameless.
