PROJECT VERITAS AND ALISON LUNDERGRAN GRIMES

Alison Lundergran Grimes is the Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate from Kentucky.  To win, she has to unseat long-time Republican Senator Mitch McConnell.

Not so long ago, the “pundits” (God I hate that word) were telling us that she was positioned to do just that:  McConnell was a dinosaur, on his way out.

Funny thing, though:  the dinosaur seems to have a lot of staying power.  The polls, today, show Mr. McConnell with a reasonably solid, if not overwhelming lead.

So what, if anything, will put him over the top?

Well, how about this 4:49 minute video from James O\’Keefe\’s Project Veritas, showing that Ms. Grimes\’ professed support of the coal industry – a must for anyone who wants to be elected to state office in Kentucky – is a bunch of cow chips?

Watch it and see:

Did you catch all those quotes from the Democrats around Ms. Grimes, who know where she really stands and that she will fully back President Obama\’s anti- coal policies if elected?  If not, let me give you a couple of salient quotes:

Project Veritas undercover person, with hidden camera:  “Ifwe can get her elected do you think she is going to do the rightthing and she\’s gonna try to wipe out that coal industry and go forbetter resources?”  Fayette county Democrat operative Gina Bess:  “I absolutely think she is”

RosHines, a staffer in Grimes\’ Lexington campaign office:  “She\’ssaying something positive about coal because she wants to be elected. And in the state of Kentucky, if you are anti-coal, you will not getelected, period, end of conversation.”

JuanitaRodriguez of the Warren County Democratic Party: “She has to saythat. But you know what? Politics is a game. You do what you have todo…It\’s a lying game unfortunately.”

Obviously, these people know that Alison Lundergran Grimes is lying to Kentuckians about her position on coal.  And, just as obviously, they are hoping she successfully boob-baits the “stupid” voters of Kentucky (watch the video and hear that word used to describe them) into thinking otherwise.

Does Ms. Grimes have a right to be anti-coal? Sure she does. Are there good reasons to be anti-coal? Yes there are.

But does this make it ok for her to lie to voters about her position on coal, get elected on false pretenses, and then sandbag people who disagree with her true position and would never have voted for her if they knew it?   No it does not.

One last question about this senate race:  Do you have any doubt that Senator McConnell will use the quotes from this video to seal the deal on his re-election campaign?

And one last question, which I have asked time after time in the past:  Do you have any doubt that most mainstream media will ignore this video because they don\’t like the fact that Project Veritas, a conservative investigative entity, dared to uncover embarrassing information about a Democrat?
