Today\’s quote comes to us from Sami Abu Zuhri, a hamas “spokesperson”, speaking at a press conference in front of Gaza\’s Shifa Hospital – the same hospital hamas had such regard for that it launched rocket attacks from its grounds just weeks ago:
“Wehave won…what no Arab army has done. We have defeated them”
Gaza is in ruins. If you believe hamas, something like 2,000* Gazans are dead. Its tunnel system – the one used to smuggle people and goods, including armaments, into Gaza – are all but destroyed. It just agreed to an Egypt-brokered cease fire that is virtually identical to the one it rejected over a month and over 1,000 additional dead Gazans ago.
But this is a win. Just ask the hamas spokesperson.
I award Sami Abu Zuhri Quote Of The Day honors for so plainly showing the world – the part which deals in truth instead of fantasy, that is – what Israel is up against. I don\’t know how he could have made it more clear.
Thanks, Sami. Why don\’t you tell the citizens of Gaza how much you are looking forward to another “victory” like this one in the future?
