Nancy Pelosi talks a good game about the California water shortage. But does she give enough of a damn (or is it dam) to inconvenience the voters in her district?
Excerpted from Valerie Richardson\’s article in the Washington Times:
TheEndangered Species Act has wreaked havoc for decades on ruralcommunities, but a newly filed lawsuit could force SanFrancisco urbanites like House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi toshare their pain.
Afederal complaint filed this week contends that the Hetch HetchyProject, which supplies water to SanFrancisco and the Bay Area, has unfairly enjoyed an exemptionfrom the “severe cutbacks” required in rural California in orderto save endangered fish species.
“Ithink the law is being subjectively applied,” said AubreyBettencourt, executive director of the California Water Alliance.”California is a tale of two cities. If you added all the agrariancounties of California together in terms of registered voters, that\’snot even enough to offset either SanFrancisco or Los Angeles. There are not enough votes.”
Just another disgraceful chapter in the Pelosi story. File it in the same pile as the dozens and dozens of companies, restaurants, etc. in her district, big and small, which somehow managed to get exemptions from ObamaCare – even as she was swearing that it was God\’s Obama\’s gift to us all.
What a phony-baloney, whining hypocrite.
But, as with the ObamaCare exemptions (among other examples), do not count on most mainstream media to bother reporting it.
Maybe they\’re just too busy thinking up ways to avoid discussing the IRS scandal, VA scandal, and how responsible President Obama\’s 5 1/2 years of inaction are for the growth of ISIS into an international terrorist horror story.
