Dear Russia-Obsessed media:
I understand that, like your cohorts in the Democrat Party, you desperately want to take down Donald Trump.
I understand that you will use just about anything you can find – even a couple of meetings then-Senator Jeff Sessions had with Russia’s Ambassador to the United Nations – meetings that were fully open and covered by the press – to try and do so. Even though you have produced absolutely no evidence that anything of any negative dimension came out of those meetings.
But what if Jeff Sessions had promised Ambassador Kislyak, in an obviously friendly way, that his administration would be more flexible with Russia after the election? What would you be doing with that?
The reason I ask, is that this is exactly, precisely, specifically, what the President of the United States did during the 2012 election campaign.
And here is the video to prove it; an exchange between Mr. Obama and Dmitry Medvedev, second in command to Vladimir Putin that was caught on a hot mic which, clearly, neither of them knew was on at the time:
“After my election (thus when the voters can’t do anything about it) I’ll have more flexibility”, with a friendly, compatriot-quality pat of Medvedev’s hand? “I understand, I’ll transmit this information to Vladimir” with a return hand-pat?
Flexibility in WHAT? Transmit WHAT? What were they talking about? What was being cooked up for those four years?
But why am I even asking? There can’t be any doubt that we know the answers to those questions, because, there’s no doubt our neutral media would have been all over this for weeks, demanding answers until they were forthcoming.
Except for one thing.
We do not have a neutral media.
In reality, this exchange, with its significant, even ominous tonality, got the 1-2 day and out treatment from the same people who are going after Jeff Sessions for……nothing they can even explain.
If that were Sessions, or Donald Trump, the howls for resignation would be louder than sonic booms.
This is why I rail about media. It is why the general public has so little trust in media. And it is why when Donald Trump frontally attacks these paid propagandists posing as journalists, so many people are cheering him on.
