Did you know that, in the absence of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the Democrats’ national convention was ushered in by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake?
To remind you, Ms. Rawlings-Blake – who will not (can not is more like it) run for re-election, was the genius who said this about the street rioting after Freddy Gray’s death:
“It’s a very delicate balancing act because while we try to make sure that they were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well, and we work very hard to keep that balance and to put ourselves in the best position to de-escalate.”
Ms. “We also gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well” is given a place of honor at this convention? This is who Democrats feature on their podium? The one with no American flag on it?
Let’s add them up:
-No visible American flag;
-No mention of ISIS or any other radical Islamic group in any speech for the entire day;
-Stephanie Rawlings-Blake given a place of honor at the podium.
If that doesn’t tell you something – a lot – about where Democrats are these days, I wonder what will?
