As I type this, our granddaughter is watching a children’s show called “Teen Titans”
It has a Cyborg character with dark skin, which talks with a stereotypical ghetto accent, complete with ghetto slang.
Did the Black character really have to talk like that?
Hey, why stop there? How about an Irish Cyborg with a Lephrechaun hat that drinks a lot, or a Jewish one with a big nose that does nothing but accumulate money?
I wasn’t looking to find overt racism on a children’s show…but, here, I think it found me.
Frankly, I can’t believe this is on TV.
Believe it or not if they had him speaking correct English the minority community would say that was bias.
