THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from French Prime Minister francois hollande (lack of capitals is intentional) – the “man” who declared war on terrorism after 130 people died at the Bataclan Theater last November.

Now that there are at least 84 dead and 100+ injured after another terrorist attack, this time in Nice, here’s what hollande has to say:

“Times have changed, and France is going to have to live with terrorism, and we must face this together and show our collective sang-froid,” he said. “France is a great country and a great democracy and we will not allow ourselves to be destabilized.”

Translation:  “Waaaaahhhh, I said we were fighting a war against terrorism, but the truth is I don’t have a clue about how to do it.  Waaaahhhhh, maybe if I take a few minutes off from my $11,000 a month hair care regimen (that’s not a sarcasm – read all about it here) to tell the country we’ll just have to live with it, and toss in a reference to showing collective sang-froid (staying calm under extreme stress) they’ll think I’m saying something really great.  Maybe they won’t notice how completely useless I am”

I award francois hollande Quote Of The Day “honors” for showing us, with crystal clarity, that he is every bit as “capable” of fighting terrorism as US President Barack Obama is.

I hope, for France’s sake, that its people find a way to get rid of him…just as I can’t wait for us to get rid of Mr. Obama.
