More information relating to the police shooting/killing of Philando Castile*
Castile’s family has brought forth what, to my untrained eye, appears to be a legitimate conceal carry permit*** letter stating Mr. Castile had been issued a conceal carry permit, from the Hennepin (MN) county sheriff’s office.
Here, from CBS News, is a picture of that permit *** letter:

This, of course, does not inform us of what Mr. Castile did when approached by Officer Yanez.
It is possible that, with or without a copy of the permit in hand, Mr. Castile was reaching not for his wallet but for the gun…which, it appears, is what Officer Yanez is saying.
So we have one more piece of information to base our opinions are….and still nowhere near enough to draw final conclusions.
Let’s hope that, at some point, we do.
And, in the meantime, let’s hope just as hard that the loudmouths proclaiming they KNOW what happened, when they absolutely, unequivocally do not, will just shut the hell up.

* This is the way his name is spelled in the article I just read. I’ve seen, and therefore have used, other spellings in previous blogs.

NOTE: With great thanks to commenter “free”, I have amended this blog to reflect the fact that this was not the permit itself, only the letter stating that a permit had been issued.
Now: when do we see the permit itself?

That is the letter that comes with the permit. The permit looks like a drivers license or a state issued ID.
Read the part about what to do when moving in that letter. It has been said he was in violation for not letting the sheriff know he moved. But regardless as you say the permit doesn’t tell us what happened before the video started.
Here is a picture of one from 2008.

Ken, Before you do another post on Castile or Reynolds you have to watch these two videos.
I promise they will blow you away.
