THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from President Obama.  It is part of his statement about the murderer who killed five Dallas police officers and injured 7 others:

“First of all, I think it’s very hard to untangle the motives of this shooter.  I’ll leave that to psychologists and people who study these kinds of incidents … I think the danger is that we somehow suggest the act of a troubled individual speaks to some larger political statement across the country.”…

Really, Mr. Obama?

In those 52 words, you have managed to deny so many statements that you yourself have made throughout your presidency – including your own statement on the Alton Sterling and Philandro Castile shootings just this past week, which you had no problem generalizing and projecting beyond the incidents themselves – that it is actually breathtaking.

I award Barack Obama Quote Of The Day honors for coming to a realization – or, much more likely, pretending to come to a realization – that has eluded you, for all these years.
