THE REAL PHILANDRO CASTILE EMERGES

Let me start by reminding you of the narrative we have been fed for the better part of a week….that Philandro Castile:

-was a wonderful human being in every way,

-he was just driving in his car with his girlfriend and her child,

-he was pulled over for nothing more than a broken tail-light,

-he politely informed the officer he had a concealed carry license

-he then, benignly and unthreateningly, reached either either for his license and registration or for the weapon license,

-and the racist sonofabitch cop shot him in dead in cold blood.

Yesterday I posted a very different view of Castile, supplied by Charles C. Johnson of gotnews.com and “sundance” of theconservativetreehouse.com.  Both had uncovered what appears to be definitive evidence Castile was, in reality a gangbanger and might well have been pulled over because he and his girlfriend fit the description of people who, days before, had robbed a convenience store in that exact same neighborhood.

Well, today there is more.  What you are about to see/hear is a news story from KARE 11, the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis-St. Paul, which apparently provides a police radio call from the officer who eventually shot Castile.

Instead of talking about a tail-light, it referenced the robbery and indicated Castile’s car was being pulled over because he and his girlfriend, Lavish “Diamond” Reynolds, fit the description of those suspects.

Here is the KARE report.  Please watch, listen…then tell me if it seems authentic to you.

It sure does to me.

Then please note that the license plate mentioned in this audio matches the license of Castile’s car (that’s quite an accomplishment for someone phonying up a police call).

Oh, and if this isn’t enough for you – from “sundance again – the local sheriff, who would have issued the concealed carry license to Philandro Castile, says he never applied for one, thus did not have one:

Now that we have all this additional information, do we know for sure what happened?

No we do not.  All the facts are still not in.

But does it look in any way the same as it did when this story first broke?  When Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton, Reverend Jesse Jackson and countless media venues summarily declared it a racial incident with the clear suggestion that the cop shot a nice guy just driving with his girlfriend?

Obviously not.

This is why – sorry for repeating myself again – you don’t draw conclusions until you have all the facts.

Once more, louder:  YOU DON’T DRAW CONCLUSIONS UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL THE FACTS.

That loud enough, Governor Dayton, Reverend Jackson?  Media “journalists”?

Probably not.

  • I know. It is circled in one of the pictures. I was just waiting for a verbal confirmation…which we now, of course. have.

At this point I’m not surprised. Nothing surprises me anymore.

  • Ken, Do you think the media will ever learn???
How often do the media have to be wrong before the public learns???
I can’t help but think about the commenter in the other thread that was so angry he seemed like he was ready to kill and it was all driven by the media and political hacks that should have known better than to make comments like they made about a situation that was so fluid.
I wonder where we are headed, if this last week is an indication it isn’t to a very good place.
Why does getting the facts seem to be so reasonable to you and I but so many others don’t seem to need or want them???

  • Your facts are not accurate.

Also, you sound like you want to prove this man should’ve been executed, and thats not going to happen.

Now go ahead and delete my comment. I know who you are.

    • You have not challenged any specific fact I posted. All I have done in every post is fill in additional information as it becomes available and repeat that we still don’t know for sure what happened because all the facts are not in – just like I did in this one. I don’t delete comments. And, since I don’t know who you are, maybe you know me….but based on the rest of what you’ve said I doubt it. Other than that, you got everything right.

  • The two robbery suspects from 4 days prior were both men. The description of the armed robbers did not include a woman nor a four year old. Two black men with dreadlocks.

Furthermore Mr Castile did indeed have licence to carry. You are reporting erroneous information corrected by the Ramsey Sheriff itself. Saying he didn’t apply with us doesn’t mean he didn’t have one. That’s their statement not mine.

The pretext the officer gave Mrs Reynolds for the stop was a broken tail light. He surely didin’t tell them he was pulling them over because they were suspected of armed robbery. using the description of an armed robbery suspect from several days prior as probable cause for a stop would likely not hold up under scrutiny.

A desire to wait for the Facts is always prudent, but this site and conservative tree house, et al aren’t doing that. FACTS are being fabricated out of whole cloth to drive a particular narrative. This is ironic as this is exactly what the “MSM” is accused of doing by the very same sources.

    • Nice screen name. How’s your sausage business going? Are you angry Ferris Buehler stole your reservation?

I’m always a little suspicious of people who use a cutesy fictional name when they post. But, that aside, let’s consider what you wrote. In order:

The police call dialogue (which snopes.com, the strongly one-sided “fact” site you seem to have used for your information, does not dispute the validity of) makes it clear the officer was pulling the car over because the driver looked like one of the suspects.

You offer no proof of any kind that Castile had a license to carry, only the point that Ramsey’s Sheriff said he could have gotten it somewhere besides his office – which, given where he lived, would have been the most logical place to apply for one.

You are stating Ms. Reynolds’ account as fact. What basis do you have for doing so? None whatsoever.

The “narrative”, as anyone can see from every post I have put up about Philandro Castile, is that we don’t know all the facts and should not jump to conclusions.

Did you object when, with far less information out there, the narrative was that a rogue cop killed a Black man for no reason?

The fact that you don’t say one word about that suggests it was not a problem to you. It should have been.

    • You are lying, AND/or you are spouting off your mouth w/o knowing any facts.

IT IS ILLEGAL FOR A MARIJUANA SMOKER TO PURCHASE A FIREARM….. Just look at the form you sign for your background check.

  • Nobody convicted of possession of weed has a legal CCW permit, and IF he did have a CCW, HE LIED TO GET IT! You cannot even buy a gun legally if you smoke weed, so if he did have a “legal” gun HE LIED TO GET IT…..

Funny how the entire *Conservative Old Order Amish Christian Media* is ignoring all of the facts here

  • The lack of emotion by Ms. Reynolds is stunning in light of that the “man she loves” is laying next to her dying. Additionally, as a concealed-carry holder, about the LAST thing I would do is have my gun, unholstered, laying in my lap during a traffic stop and even less likely if I did NOT have a concealed-carry permit. The proper action would be to stuff it under the seat and advise the officer that I had a firearm near to hand.
