THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from Hillary Clinton.  It is her response to Donald Trump talking about Hubby Bubba’s sordid sexual history, including the fact that he has been accused of rape.

This afternoon, on CNN, Chris Cuomo pointed out that Trump’s hardline attacks on other opponents – Republicans – stuck to them, and is Ms. Clinton worried the same will happen to her.

The answer?

‘No, I’m not because I think people can judge his campaign for what it is. I’m gonna run my campaign. I’m not so much running against him as I am running for the kind of future that I think America deserves to have,.’ she said.

I’m going to lay out my record of of accomplishments, my vision for the future. He can say whatever he wants to say, but I think in every election people want to do know are you going to do tomorrow, what’s the future going to look like if I entrust you with this most solemn responsibility.

‘”And that’s exactly the kind of campaign I am running and I intend to keep running.’

“Yes, he took out a field that couldn’t really criticize him on issues because they fundamentally agreed with them.

“So when he would say these outrageous things, more dramatically perhaps than his Republican counterparts were saying, they were stymied.

“If you pick a fight with a bully…you’re gonna be pulled down to their level”.

Does Ms. Clinton’s response answer a thing about Trump’s accusations that she enabled her husband’s sexual activities, possibly including rape?   Nope.

Should she answer Trump’s accusations?  Well, if her line of attack against Trump is that he abuses and demeans women, it seems self-evident that she has to.

Will media insist that she answers?  Yeah, sure:  every bit as much as they insist she releases the transcripts of her $250,000-a-pop speeches to the Wall Street giants she says she is going to cut down to size.

I award Hillary Clinton Quote Of The Day honors for showing us, again, just how flawed she is, how lame her responses are to the embarrassing questions which require answers, and how much she needs to rely on an adoring media to protect her.

Not that we didn’t already know…

  • I’d like to know who wrote that for her.
It would be great if she had only herself to rely on for statements.
We could see what she really thinks instead of prepared focus group OK’d press release.
