The email scandal continues…and so do Hillary Clinton’s lies about it.
Excerpted from Jenna Lifhits’ article for the Weekly Standard:
Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said Friday that Hillary Clinton’s attorney has been in contact with the Justice Department throughout the investigation into her use of a private email server as secretary of state.
The FBI has already interviewed Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin, as well as some other Clinton confidantes, CNN reported Thursday. However, in an interview with MSNBC Tuesday, Clinton said that the FBI had still not contacted her “representatives.”
Fallon did not address Clinton’s apparent mistruth. Instead, the spokesman confirmed Clinton’s claim that the FBI still had not contacted her.
In the same Tuesday interview, Clinton denied that foreign hackers breached her server. Fallon and the State Department have stood by her assertion, despite the Romanian hacker Guccifer’s claim Wednesday that he easily hacked into Clinton’s email.
So what do we have here?
We have Hillary Clinton telling us that the FBI has not contacted her representatives – after it not only contacted, but interviewed, Huma Abedin, her single closest aide and confidante.
And we have Clinton again telling us – as if she had any basis whatsoever for the claim – that her personal server had not been hacked into. Her personal server; the one that has no government security. The one just like yours or mine…that the nerdy, tech-savvy kid down the block could hack if he felt like it.
Is she still claiming the FBI is conducting a “security review” rather than an investigation? The article does not say. But since I’ve never heard her take back that absurd lie (the FBI does not conduct “security reviews”, it conducts criminal investigations), I assume she still is.
The lies keep coming. And most of our mainstream media keep covering.
What they lack in journalistic professionalism and integrity, they make up in dogged partisanship.
