YOM KIPPUR

Why do they call it a fast, when it goes so slow?

It’s that time again.  The Jewish high holy day of Yom Kippur (the day of atonement).

And, as usual, I’ve got plenty to atone for.

Personally, I am not religious and I’m not at all big on ritual.

But, out of respect for my ancestors, as well as current family members who take this seriously, one of the things I do each year is fast on Yom Kippur…and refrain from blogging.

So this is it for at least the next 24 hours.

See you on the other side.
