I just found out that when Verizon customers, using the Overseas Phone Plan, arrive at Ben-Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel, they receive the greeting “Welome To Palestine”.
I’m not kidding. This is no joke. You can read all about it in this editorial published by the Jewish Voice.
There is no such country as Palestine. There never has been a country of Palestine. Even the “Palestine” entity in the Israel-hating United Nations is not recognized as a country.
And regardless of what “Palestine” is, Ben-Gurion Airport sure as hell is not within it. People arriving at Ben-Gurion are arriving in Israel. ISRAEL. Got that, Verizon?
If Verizon wants to pretend Tel Aviv is not part of Israel, but within a fictional country – whose government is committed, in writing, to the obliteration of Israel, let’s never forget – that is its business. But as a current customer, I will now make my disgust known to Verizon and actively seek out another company’s services.
