Question:  how do you turn a socialist into a capitalist?

Answer: by giving him a chance to spend money from someone else’s pocket, that he doesn’t have to reimburse.

What am I talking about?  Read this, from Daniel Lippman’s article for and you won’t wonder any more:

In his campaign launch video last week, Bernie Sanders singled out the fossil fuel industry for criticism, listing it among the special interests he planned to take on. But in the final months of the 2016 campaign, Sanders repeatedly requested and received the use of a carbon-spewing private jet for himself and his traveling staff when he served as a surrogate campaigner for Hillary Clinton.

In the two years following the presidential election, Sanders continued his frequent private jet travel, spending at least $342,000 on the flights.

“I’m not shocked that while thousands of volunteers braved the heat and cold to knock on doors until their fingers bled in a desperate effort to stop Donald Trump, his Royal Majesty King Bernie Sanders would only deign to leave his plush D.C. office or his brand new second home on the lake if he was flown around on a cushy private jet like a billionaire master of the universe,” said Zac Petkanas, who was the director of rapid response for the Clinton campaign.

Well, well, well.

So Bernie Sanders (BS) has multiple homes on his Senate salary (it certainly isn’t from the school his wife ran into the ground), and he likes to fly on private jets that guzzle fuel and despoil the environment?

Say, isn’t that the kind of stuff people like Sanders and his supporters would accuse Donald Trump of doing and condemn him for?

Funny, though, how it becomes okey-dokey if you’re a self-professed socialist.

The funniest/most ironic part?  The people complaining about BS’s profligate habits are from the Clinton campaign.  Help me out here: wasn’t Clinton the one whose operatives stacked the deck against BS, so he could not win the Democrat nomination?

What a spectacle:  the people who screwed BS, whining that BS is taking advantage of them.

Boy would this be grist for media…if these were Republicans.

  • Does anyone care that a guy making $200k a year spent $342,000 on private jets in a few years time??? That seems like something the IRS would question me about.

I realized today Obama promised hope and change and actually delivered on it. Finally with Trump we have Hope and Change.
