Remember Steve Scully? He’s the media guy who, at the beginning of his career, interned for Joe Biden, who, in 2016, wrote emails expressing his avid dislike for Donald Trump…
…and who, as moderator of the second Trump/Biden debate, tweeted with Trump-hater Anthony Scaramucci on how to handle things.
He is also the guy who claimed he never communicated with Scaramucci, that his account had been hacked.
And now he’s the guy who admits he lied about his account being hacked, he really did do so – causing him to be suspended indefinitely from his gig at C-SPAN (we’ll see how long that suspension lasts/how quickly he’s offered another position elsewhere).
The fact that Steve Scully – along with Trump-hating Chris Wallace, let’s not forget – was selected by “The Debate Commission” to moderate a presidential debate, I would hope, is going to result in the “commission” (as in commission of political malfeasance) to be disbanded and replaced with a far better, more neutral selection process.
Let’s hope against hope this is what happens. Frankly, I’m not confident.
