More and more evidence is being uncovered about the real Russian collusion scandal.
One element of this scandal is that, it seems eminently clear, the FISA court was lied to, information was withheld from it, and that, in reality, there was no legal reason for the mueller “investigation” to ever take place.
Here is the latest update, from John Solomon, writing for thehill.com. A few excerpts are shown below:
If President Trump declassifies evidence in the Russia investigation, Carter Page’s summer bike ride to a Virginia farm and George Papadopoulos’s hasty academic jaunt to London may emerge as linchpin proof of FBI surveillance abuses during the 2016 election.
The two trips have received scant attention. But growing evidence suggests both Trump campaign advisers made exculpatory statements — at the very start of the FBI’s investigation — that undercut the Trump-Russia collusion theory peddled to agents by Democratic sources.
The FBI plowed ahead anyway with an unprecedented intrusion into a presidential campaign, while keeping evidence of the two men’s innocence from the courts.
I urge you to use the link I’ve provided and read every word of Mr. Solomon’s commentary.
And on another collusion scandal front, I urge you to read this fox news report on how damning the transcripts of lisa page’s congressional testimony are – transcripts that have just been released, by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee (why they didn’t do so sooner is a mystery to me).
Here’s a taste for you:
Rep. Devin Nunes said newly released transcripts of former FBI lawyer Lisa Page’s testimony before Congress show that there was an “orchestrated effort” not to charge Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information.
House Judiciary Committee Republicans on Tuesday released hundreds of pages of transcripts from last year’s closed-door interview with Page, revealing new details about the bureau’s controversial internal discussions regarding the Clinton investigation and an “insurance policy” against then-candidate Donald Trump.
On “America’s Newsroom” Thursday, Nunes (R-Calif.) said Clinton should have been held accountable for her gross negligence in her use of a private email server, but there was essentially a “conspiracy” within the Justice Department and FBI to prevent that from happening.
“The fact that she wasn’t prosecuted on something that rank-and-file people in the military and intelligence community get prosecuted for is unfathomable at this point,” Nunes said.
Question: how much of this information have you seen on NBC? CBS? ABC? CNN? MSNBC?
Not much. And there’s a reason.
Mainstream media have spent over two years covering this scandal up, even as the evidence grew and grew. And now they are in too deep, because giving it the full treatment it deserves also exposes their journalistic misconduct over this period. So, in protectionist, circle-the-wagons mode, they compound that misconduct by continuing to do so.
At some point, events may force them to finally come clean, to report the full monty of what has been uncovered.
What will they say then? How will they explain themselves?
I wouldn’t want to be the one trying.
