THE QUOTES OF THE DAY

Today we have a Quote Of The Day daily double – both entries coming from Senate Majority Leader harry reid:  a man who, if he were a Republican, would have been laughed out of congress a decade ago, and derided/insulted/sneered at/condemned so completely in so many ways that you would have thought he was Sarah Palin.

Here is the first, spoken on the floor of the Senate Wednesday, and aimed at the people who have lost insurance and/or the availability of their primary physician due to ObamaCare:

“There\’splenty of horror stories being told. Allof them are untrue. But in those tales turned out to be just that. Tales. Stories made upfrom whole cloth. Lies distorted by Republicans to grab headlines ormake political advertisements.”

Un-effing-believable.  According to reid, every person who is suffering due to ObamaCare, every person who is in dire medical straits because the unworkable monstrosity his lord and savior, Barack Obama, foisted on a largely unsuspecting public, is a liar.

Has reid stood on the floor of the senate and apologized – or even bothered to mention – the lies that Obama, and he, told us about everyone being able to keep their insurance, keep their doctor, and much, much, more?

No, of course not.  Much easier to attack the victims of this horror show, and claim that they\’re all part of a Republican plot.

But reid wasn\’t through.  Later that day – probably after being read the riot act by Obama and his people, he again stood on the senate floor, and said this:

“Ican\’t say that every one of the Koch brothers\’ ads are a lie, butI\’ll say this. Mr. President, the vast, vast majority of them are.And it\’s time the American people spoke out against this terribledishonesty of these two brothers who are about as un-American asanyone that I can imagine.”

See, that smoothes things over just fine.  Those horrific stories of people who lost their health care because of ObamaCare?  They aren\’t all lies – just the vast majority of them.  And Charles and David Koch – for daring to finance the ads which told their stories?  They are “about as un-American as anyone that I can imagine.”

I award harry reid Quote Of The Day honors, for being as disgusting an excuse for a human being as I can imagine…

…with a dishonorable mention to our mainstream media, which – even in a situation like this one – is perfect happy to bury his putrid filth on behalf of the political party they bow down to.
