THE QUOTES OF THE DAY

Today, we have two quotes of the day.

The first’s comes to us from Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).  It concerns the huge – and growing – awan scandal – which mainstream media, displaying a level of absurdity that even they will soon be ashamed of – continue trying to bury.

Says Rep. DeSantis:

“In addition to the criminal case that is now underway, Congress needs to get answers regarding the scope of Imran Awan’s misconduct and the access he had to sensitive material in the United States House of Representatives, including why he remained on the House payroll for so long,”

Ron DeSantis wins Quote Of The Day honors – not for stating something that is so plainly self-evident, but for stating something so plainly self-evident which mainstream media continue pretending is not newsworthy at all.

My evidence?  I just googled “Imran Awan” and looked at the first three full pages.  Nothing from ABC.  Or NBC.  Or CBS.  Or the New York Times.  Or the Washington Post.  Or the Los Angeles Times.  What little coverage there was at all, ended for just about all of these “journalists when Awan was arrested while trying to flee to his native Pakistan – after sending his wife, and wiring almost $300,000 ahead.

The second quote comes to us from Ronna Romney McDaniel, Chairperson of the Republican National Committee (RNC):

“We have to get to the bottom of this, and Debbie Wasserman Schultz has obstructed at every level on something that affects potentially our national security. So to have this gentlemen try and leave the country yesterday, and now we know there is bank fraud and we know he destroyed these hard drives, when you read story about the Marine that found them in the apartment he was trying to rent. I mean, it is a long story but something we have to get to the bottom of. We are not hearing the Democrats talk about it at all. Where’s Debbie Wasserman Schultz? And we also need to know why the DNC never turned over their hard drive to the FBI to review it as to their hacking situation. So the Democrats are on TV and they’re grandstanding every chance they get, but they’re not complying and they’re not being forthright with their role.”

Is that what you meant, Mr. DeSantis?

My only problem with Ms. McDaniel’s quote is calling imran awan a “gentleman”.  Other than that, she used very few words to hit most of the bases, while inherently humiliating most of our media for looking the other way when they have a real scandal to talk about.

Still looking for evidence of Russian collusion with Trump, guys?  How about you take five and talk about the scandal that you DO have evidence for?  Or is that only done for one political party?

Never mind, I already know the answer.
