Today’s quote comes to us, in the form of a facebook post, from belén sisa, a spokesperson for Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.
Sanders, as you may be aware, is a self-loathing Jew (by ancestry, certainly not by practice) who has no problem aligning with groups that would celebrate in the street if Israel ceased to exist. So it is hardly a surprise that he would latch onto someone like sisa, who – in defense of ilhan omar’s anti-Semitic dual loyalty comment, said:
“This is a serious question: do you not think that the American government and American Jewish community has a dual allegiance to the state of Israel? I’m asking not to rule out the history of this issue, but in the context in which this was said by Ilhan.”
sisa has, since “apologized” for this comment. The apology, however, has zero credibility, because it was made using the formula of choice for anti-Semites like her. Say it, allow it to achieve full impact, and then piss out some insipid quasi-apology – in her case, being: and
“In a conversation on Facebook, I used some language that I see now was insensitive…”
Yeah, that’s all it was. Insensitive.
When rashida tlaib, ilhan omar’s anti-Semitic twin sister, won election to the house of representatives, she had a victory party. At that party, she wrapped herself in a “Palestinian” flag. Do you recall anyone from the Bernie Sanders camp attacking her “dual loyalty”?
Have you ever heard an attack on the “dual loyalty” of any U.S. citizen of Irish ancestry who openly supports Ireland?
Or the “dual loyalty” of any U.S. citizen of Italian ancestry who openly supports Italy?
Or the “dual loyalty” of any U.S. citizen of Japanese ancestry who openly supports Japan?
Or the “dual loyalty” of any U.S. citizen of Argentinian ancestry who openly supports Argentina?
Or the “dual loyalty” of….well, I think you get the idea.
No, for haters like belén sisa, and her boss, this “dual loyalty” smear seems to be the sole province of Jews.
I award belén sisa Quote Of The Day “honors” for making this so clear to anyone willing to see and hear what is dead in front of them…
…and giving the Lost Tribers, who claim to support Israel but find ways of rationalizing any and every attack on it from the left, another opportunity to ply their trade.
