THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from newly-announced presidential candidate, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA).

While speaking at a CNN-concocted town hall (more on this in a subsequent blog), Senator Harris was asked whether her “Medicare for all” plan would enable people who liked their insurance to keep it – i.e. the promise that Barack Obama made about ObamaCare which turned out to be a 100% lie.

As you can see, Ms. Harris has no intention of lying about that element of her plan;

“Well, listen, the idea is that everyone gets access to medical care. And you don’t have to go through the process of going through an insurance company, having them give you approval, going through the paperwork, all of the delay that may require.

“Who among us has not had that situation?  Where you got to wait for approval, and the doctor says, ‘Well I don’t know if your insurance company is going to cover this.’ Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on.”

In other words, put the government in complete control of everyone’s health care.  Hey, what could go wrong?

A quick question for Kamala Harris, or you, or anyone:  can you name anything that has run better – higher quality, more efficiency, lower or even similar cost – under government control than under private control?  Anything at all?

When you’re through trying, I also recommend you look at what has happened when the U.S. government has done what Ms. Harris proposes – such as the “quality” of health care provided by the Veterans Administration.

Then, think about the idea of government being 100% in charge of your health care and get back to me.

Meanwhile, I award Kamala Harris Quote Of The Day “honors” for her attempt at appealing to the left-and moving further-left Democrat base…though I doubt she’s anywhere near where she’ll have to be for it to succeed.

  • To Kammie “I work Under Willie’s Willy” –

    Is that like England’s National Health Plan – where it takes 10 months to get an appointment for delivery in childbirth.

  • How about the British government not allowing you to get care elsewhere if/when the government sentences you to death.
