Today’s quote comes to us from michael moore – a documentary, or mockumentary, or schlockumentary, or dreckumentary-maker (you pick the description) who, along with a few TV personalities and media types, still thinks he is relevant.
Moore’s latest attempt to get someone interested in what he has to say, occurred during his appearance on Stephen Colbert’s left-fest last night. After assuring the audience that he was against violence, moore said this:
“When are people going to get off the couch and rise up? Sadly, Trump is not going to leave. He plans to be reelected, he loves the term ‘president for life.’ The only way that we’re going to stop this is eventually we’re all going to have to put our bodies on the line. You’re going to have to be willing to do this.”
Let me get this straight. Moore is telling us we have to put your bodies on the line to stop Donald Trump from being re-elected (i.e. being voted into a second term as President). Legal elections? De don’t need no steenkin’ legal elections.
But Moore isn’t advocating any violence. Honest. Just ask him.
I award michael moore Quote Of The Day “honors” for treating Colbert’s audience, and his followers – whoever and however many they may be – as if they were brain-dead idiots who will buy anything he sells as long as it is reliably hard-left, even anarchistic.
How sad that, for a great many of them, he’s probably right to do so.
