Today\’s quote – more than one, actually – comes to us from Bennie Thompson (D-MS).

Since donald sterling\’s comments have made racism a paramount issue for the past several days, the following quotes from Mr. Thompson are of particular interest.   He made them this weekend on a radio show – which will be named further on.

Here is part of what Thompson had to say (want to check the video?  Go to Andrew Kaczynski\’s article at, from where I pulled these quotes):

I\’vebeen in Washington. I saw three presidents now. I never saw GeorgeBush treated like this. I never saw Bill Clinton treated like thiswith such disrespect.  That Mitch McConnell wouldhave the audacity to tell the President of the United States – notthe chief executive, but the commander-in-chief -that \’ don\’tcare what you come up with we’re going to be against it.\’ Now ifthat\’s not a racist statement I don\’t know what is.

“(the Governor of Mississippi wasagainst expanding Medicaid through Obamacare) just because a Blackman created it.”

“(opposition to Obama is allabout race…when a Black man comes with an idea [forObamacare] there\’s something wrong with it. Again, it\’s racecreeping into the picture.”

“Nowall of a sudden, government is the worst thing in the world since aBlack man became president.”

“(Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom…it\’s almost tothe point saying this man doesn\’t like Black people, he doesn\’tlike being Black.”

Translation – anything anybody says or does which involves anyone who is Black, is entirely based on race, and anything anybody says or does which Bennie Thompson disagrees with is racist.

And what radio broadcast did Rep. Thompson make these non-stop accusations of racism on?  He made them on New Nation Of Islam radio: i.e. the voice of a virulently Black supremacist, anti-White, anti-Semitic organization.

I award Bennie Thompson Quote Of The Day honors based on the massive chutzpah level necessary to make charges like this in a forum like that.

Congratulations Mr. Thompson….assuming my congratulations are not racist because they are directed at a Black man, that is.
