Today’s quote comes to us from Jake Tapper of CNN.
Here is Mr. Tapper’s take on the credibility of Lev Parnas – whose “bombshell” accusations against President Trump were imparted during in an interview with one of MSNBC’s resident conspiracy theory promoters, Rachel Maddow:
“Let’s chew over all this. We can’t ignore Parnas has a serious credibility problem. He’s under indictment for campaign finance charges. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour he doesn’t trust a word Parnas is saying. And I see people out there on social media, Democrats, acting as if he’s the second coming of Theodore Roosevelt.”
Jake Tapper wins Quote Of The Day honors for doing what most media will not: assessing Lev Parnas realistically – which means assessing him based on his dissolute, dishonest history.
If they want to go up against someone, they should be going up against Rudy Giuliani, who brought Parnas (and his pal Igor Fruman) into the circle…and now, I have no doubt, wishes to God he had not done so.
Rudy is over. He has to go. I’ve been saying this for years. And the Parnas debacle is just one of the reasons why.
