Let’s end the year with one final quote from Joe Biden – who seems to be more and more detatched from reality by the day.
Yesterday, at a rally in Exeter, New Hampshire, Biden was actually asked if he would consider a Republican as his running mate.
Mr. Biden’s answer:
“The answer is I would, but I can’t think of one now.”
(Then, after the crowed reacts) “No, I’m serious. … There’s some really decent Republicans that are out there still, but here’s the problem right now with the well-known ones: they’ve got to step up. You know what I mean? I’m not being a wise guy.”
Let’s start with the fact – and I mean cast in stone – that Joe Biden is not selecting a Republican running mate; not even if he found one that agreed with virtually every one of his positions (which, of course, he could not).
The Democrat Party is not going to accept a Democrat presidential nominee putting a Republican one heartbeat away from the Oval Office. That doesn’t even make it to absurd status.
And his “explanation”, after the crowd reacted as though he just told a bad joke, that “…they’ve got to step up. You know what I mean? I’m not being a wise guy.”?
Can anyone figure out what that is supposed to communicate, other than that Biden is off on another one of his many trips to Incomprehensibleville?
I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day honors for his latest demonstration that, political polls notwithstanding, he has absolutely no business being considered for the presidency.
We can argue over Joe Biden’s capabilities in the past. But whatever they were then, they are appreciably lower now…and, pretty obviously, heading further south.
