THE QUOTE OF THE DAY

Today’s quote comes to us from former Senator, former Vice President and current (at least for now) Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

For well over a month now, most mainstream media have done their best to protect Mr. Biden from questions about why Joe Biden threatened Ukraine with the lost of $1 billion dollars in aid, unless the fired the prosecutor investigating Biden’s ne’er-do-well son, Hunter – who managed to land a $600,000 a year gig on the board of directors for Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company – when he had no background or experience in energy and whose only qualification for the “job” was that his daddy was Joe Biden.

But last week, Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocey got close enough to ask that question – and, in return, got nothing other than an angry “ask the right question!” response from Biden – as if this wasn’t worthy of his highness, Candidate Joe.

And now, a week or so later, another person (I don’t know who) was able to ask a similar question:   “How was your role as vice president in charge of policy in Ukraine and your son’s job in Ukraine, how is that not a conflict of interest?”

Biden’s answer?

“It’s not a conflict of interest. There’s been no indication of any conflict of interest from Ukraine or anywhere else. Period. I’m not going to respond to that!”

Translation:  “Get bent.  I”m not answering you”.

You can read all about this, and see a video showing how angry Biden’s response was, by going to Karen Townsend’s article at hotair.com.

I award Joe Biden Quote Of The Day honors for, twice now, demonstrating his apparent belief that an obvious conflict of interest situation that has provided huge financial benefits to a family member (and not the only one; his brother, James has also gotten in on the gravy train big-time) is going to be ignored/passed on/glossed over by most mainstream media.

That is why Joe Biden can snap at anyone who asks;  because he knows the networks and the major newspapers will, reliably as always, look the other way on his behalf.

I also award Shame Of The Day dishonors to the media which have been, and continue to be, complicit in this increasingly desperate cover-up.

Do these “journalists” still wonder why fewer and fewer people trust them?
