Today’s paragraphs – complete with a truly remarkable use of the word, “surprising” – come to us from Colby Hall’s article at mediaite.com:
Trump campaign chairman Brad Parscale announced Monday that they will not be offering press credentials to any reporters of Bloomberg News seeking to cover the Trump campaign.
The surprising action came following a recent internal memo to Bloomberg staff in which Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait announced that the outlet would continue its “tradition of not investigating Mike (and his family and foundation) and we will extend the same policy to his rivals in the Democratic primaries.”
Bloomberg News is telling the Trump campaign, in so many words. that:
-It will not report negative news about any Democrat candidate: not its owner, Michael Bloomberg, and not any other Democrat.
-Regardless of what happens during the campaign, the one and only candidate Bloomberg news will ever report negatively on is President Trump.
And Colby Hall finds it “surprising” that the Trump campaign doesn’t offer press credentials to Bloomberg News? After it announces it will forgo any semblance of actual journalism, by giving all Democrat presidential candidates a free pass, regardless of what they say or do, while assuring us it will have no problem reporting any and all negative news about President Trump?
What would he have done? Thanked Bloomberg News profusely and offered it extra press passes?
I award Colby Hall Paragraphs Of The Day “honors” for giving us such a clear, concise lesson in remedial obtuseness.
