As you are probably aware, in February, Tom Perez – a career Democrat politician and former Obama cabinet member – was elected Democrat National Committee Chairperson.

Perez barely defeated the racist, anti-Semitic keith ellison…whose racism and anti-Semitism was given a tiny fraction of the coverage it would have received if he were a Republican.

But that aside, at least you could say Democrats – in relative terms – picked a moderate who might lead the party in a different direction than the one which has put it in its current deep hole.

Well, you could say that.   But would you be right?

Excerpted from Christian Datoc’s article at

Perez, speaking at a rally hosted by the New Jersey Working Families Alliance, first congratulated protesters on showing up in droves to Washington, DC on January 21, the day after President Trump’s inauguration.

Perez claimed those people gathered and proclaimed, “Donald Trump, you don’t stand for our values… Donald Trump you didn’t win the election.”

Later in his speech, President Obama’s secretary of labor added that he doesn’t “care” if people take issue with his speech, just like how “Republicans don’t give a shit about people.”

Standing in front of a group of people in an eminently safe city Democrats cannot lose, and;

-congratulating them for protesting a legal election;

-claiming the winner of the election lost (why’s that, Tom?);

-telling the crowd the election winner’s party “doesn’t give a shit about people”?

THAT’s the leadership Tom Perez has brought to the DNC?  THAT’S the “improvement” over ellison?

With Republicans in charge of the presidency, senate, house and most governorships, it is undeniable that Democrats are in bad shape right now.

But if this is the direction they will be taking over the next two years, they’re in even worse shape than they think.

  • I believe Democrat politicians are baffled and wondering what more is it going to take to get their followers to start a civil war.
