How many times in the past two years have you heard or read that, politically, Donald Trump has one foot in the grave and the other on a a banana peel?

I’m not sure, but I think the number may be approaching the neightborhood of 23, 468.

If so, we now have the 23,469th, courtesy of an analysis, titled “Mueller’s breadcrumbs suggest he has the goods”, written by Garrett M. Graff (a writer, educator, techie and – of course – Democrat operative) at

Here’s an excerpt for you:

The big picture: One of the least-noticed elements of the special counsel’s approach is that all along, he has been making his case bit by bit, in public, since his very first court filing. With his major court filings so far, Mueller has already written more than 290 pages of the “Mueller Report.” And there are still lots of loose ends in those documents — breadcrumbs Mueller is apparently leaving for later.

Perhaps the best example is Mueller’s oddly specific reference to the Russian hackers targeting Hillary Clinton “for the first time” after candidate Trump’s still-unexplained “Russia, if you’re listening” comment on July 27, 2016.
  • Trump said: “I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 [Clinton] emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.” (He also said: “I have nothing to do with Russia.”)
  • A Mueller indictment in July said that the next day, “the Conspirators … attempted after hours to spear-phish for the first time email accounts at a domain hosted by a third-party provider and used by Clinton’s personal office.”
  • That shows Mueller has access to much more intelligence than is publicly known. Remember, these are Russian government employees. So Mueller has remarkable and thus far unexplained visibility.

Is this guy kidding?  Is this satire?  Graff is too smart, and too accomplished, to believe such BS.  So I guess the “Democrat operative” part kicked in big-time.

Reality check:  Mueller’s “bit by bit” is that, after two years, he and his-all Democrat staff have viciously gone after people around Donald Trump for “crimes” that have had nothing to do with either Trump or the 2016 election, and threatened them with the ruination of their lives if they didn’t provide something – anything – to “get” Trump.

That isn’t an investigation, it’s an inquisition.

And the “HIllary’s 30,000 emails” comment Trump mad?  Obviously a sarcastic joke.  Anyone with even a small sense of humor, and anyone who grew up – as both Trump and I did – on the streets of Queens would know this.

Despite Graff’s Vermont background and Georgetown pedigree, I assume he knows it just as well.  But his partisan Democrat thingie – Graff started his political career as then-Vermont Governor Howard Dean’s webmaster – apparently took charge, so he writes the utter nonsense you just read.

I have no doubt mueller’s final report will be highly accusatory toward President Trump and his people.  But if this is the kind of mung it is going to be based on, I also have no doubt that it will be more of the same BS that mainstream media – which, for the most part, hate Trump’s guts – and Democrats (often one and the same) have been shooting blanks over for all this time.

We’ll find out soon enough.
