From Mary Claire Jalonick’s article for the Associated Press, via ABC News:
Clinton lost, but Republicans still want to investigate her
Democrat Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election to President Donald Trump, but some Republicans in Congress are intensifying their calls to investigate her and other Obama administration officials.
Can someone show me the statute which says that if a candidate loses the presidency he/she is thereby exempt from being investigated, from answering for possible breaking of the laws?
You might want to look for that statute. But I promise you won’t find it. Because it doesn’t exist. Not even for Queen Hillary.
Yes Ms. Jalonick writes what you just read, and the Associated Press puts it out there, as if they expect us to be outraged Republicans would do such a thing.
I love this stuff.
Almost a year of investigations of Donald Trump for colluding with Russia to steal the election from Hillary Clinton – with, to this day, not one piece of evidence that it ever happened – and that’s OK.
But Hillary Clinton and the people around her colluding with Ukrainian nationals to get information damaging to Donald Trump- with hard evidence to show that it happened – and the reaction is “how dare them do it, don’t they know that she lost?”
Then these same “journalists scratch their heads and wonder why so few people trust them anymore.
