Earlier this month, a 7 year old girl, Jakelin Caal Maquin, who was brought to this country illegally, died while being held by U. S. immigration authorities.
On Tuesday, an 8 year old boy, Felipe Alonzo-Gomez also here illegally, died as well.
Who is to blame?
Well, if you watch/read most of our media, the answer is that it is President Donald Trump’s fault. Those children were horribly mistreated, and could not survive Trump’s draconian immigration policies. The heartless bastard.
We have no idea of what physical condition these children were in to begin with.
What we do know is that, over a period of weeks, they were taken by adults – presumably parents, but we have no way of checking – and walked/transported hundreds, maybe thousands, of miles from their home towns to the Mexican/U.S. border, all the time being told in no uncertain terms they would not be let in. ‘
The sanitary conditions they experienced, the quality/safety of food and drink they were given, what medical attention they received during those weeks? Almost certainly deficient in every way.
We also know that, when they became sick while in US custody, both children received significant medical attention.
So I’ll ask again: who is to blame for the deaths of Jakelin Caal Maquin and Felipe Alonzo-Gomez
Is there any blame for the countries they were taken out of, presumably because they are corrupt, poverty-ridden, gang-infested hellholes? Or the country they traveled through to get to the U.S. border, which provided minimal, if any, health services during the trip? Or the organizers – the left-wing groups who facilitated “caravans” of people like this and apparently had no interest in their safety and well-being, only in their value as political pawns?
Nope. It’s Trump. And the United States.
Just ask our media.
