Before I start, let me acknowledge that Benghazi is not a scandal, it is not at all meaningful, and anyone who brings it up is a right wing racist teabagging Neanderthal who hates Barack Obama because he is a Black man and hates Hillary Clinton because she is a woman.

That must be true, I suppose, because I have heard versions of it from various mainstream media venues for the past year and a half.  But, for some reason, I plod on.  Must be something in the water.

Or maybe it is this newest revelation that, based on emails just obtained by Judicial Watch, the administration purposefully trotted out susan rice to lie to our faces on every news show about what happened there.

Here is the first part of Judicial Watch\’s press release, complete with relevant links so that you can read the emails yourself:

JudicialWatch announced today that on April 18, 2014, it obtained 41 newBenghazi-related StateDepartment documents. They include anewly declassified email showing then-White House DeputyStrategic Communications Adviser Ben Rhodes and other Obamaadministration public relations officials attempting to orchestrate acampaign to “reinforce” President Obama and to portray theBenghazi consulate terrorist attack as being “rooted in an Internetvideo, and not a failure of policy.”  Other documents showthat State Department officials initially described the incident asan “attack” and a possible kidnap attempt.

Thedocuments were released Friday as result of a June 21, 2013, Freedomof Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed against the Department ofState (JudicialWatch v. U.S. Department of State(No. 1:13-cv-00951)) to gain access to documents about thecontroversial talking points used by then-UN Ambassador Susan Ricefor a series of appearances on television Sunday news programs onSeptember 16, 2012.  Judicial Watch had been seeking thesedocuments since October 18, 2012.

TheRhodesemail was sent on sent on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 8:09p.m. with the subject line:  “RE: PREP CALL with Susan,Saturday at 4:00 pm ET.”  The documents show that the “prep”was for Amb. Rice\’s Sunday news show appearances to discuss theBenghazi attack.

Thedocument lists as a “Goal”: “To underscore that these protestsare rooted in and Internet video, and not a broader failure orpolicy.”

The point, of course, is that this sorry, corrupt, serial-lying administration knew full well what the attack was about, and decided that the truth was far less important than covering their sorry, corrupt, serial-lying backsides – especially less than two months before the presidential election, when Hillary Clinton\’s and Barack Obama\’s ineptitude and incompetence regarding Benghazi might turn voters to the other side of the aisle.

Again, I realize the error of my ways in caring about this – especially since it ignores Ms. Clinton\’s insightful question,  “What difference at this point does it make”?

Clearly, learning that a murderous terrorist attack on US citizens, conducted by an offshoot of al-qaeda which President Obama had spent the campaign telling us was virtually decimated, and then finding out that the administration was lying to our faces about it, has no relevance at all.  But just in case some readers enjoy trivia, I thought I would put it up on the blog.

How many more days to the end of the Obama administration?  How many more seconds?
