THE AGE OF THE CANDIDATES

Donald Trump, our incumbent President, is 73 years old.  Should he win re-election he will be 74 when he is sworn in for a second term.

Since age is often an issue in political campaigns, I thought you might be interested to know that, among his five major Democrat challengers:

-Elizabeth Warren (born June 22, 1949), if she wins, will be 71 the day she is sworn in.  She would be the oldest first-term President in the history of our country;

-Joe Biden (born November 20, 1042), if he wins, will be 78 the day he is sworn in.  He would be the oldest first-term President in the history of our country;

-Michael Bloomberg (born February 14, 1942), if he wins, will be 78 the day he is sworn in.  He would be the oldest first-term President in the history of our country;

-Bernie Sanders (born September 8, 1941), if he wins, will be 79 the day he is sworn in.  He would be the oldest first-term President in the history of our country;

-And Pete Buttigieg (born January 19, 1982), if he wins, will be 38 the day he is sworn in.  He would be the youngest president in the history of our country.

There are the facts.  Make of them what you will.
